Founded in June 2010 in Schaffhausen, Filag Schweiz AG is the only manufacturer worldwide using a specific new technology for skin care and healing. The company has its own production facilities and offices in Schaffhausen, where the cosmetic and medical skin care tissues are manufactured under the brand name Filabé® and Filaderm®.
The company’s later founder had been already previously successful as an entrepreneur with the production of microfibre tissues for skin cleansing for several years. However, the idea of Filabé did not come up until 2005. A boy from the neighbourhood of the later company founder was suffering from severe acne and would not respond to any treatment known at that time. A rudimental attempt was made to apply a natural lotion with a microfibre tissue onto the ill skin. The results were so convincing that further investigations were made into that matter.
The subsequent development work was conducted under the scientific leadership of Dr. Bernard Gabard, a well renowned pharmacologist. Years of research finally resulted in the establishment of Filag Schweiz AG and the development of a particular ultra-micro-fibre, specifically designed for skin care and skin healing. The successful combination of the microfibre with natural active agents in dry form led to the development of these products: Moisturizing, Skin Clear, Anti-Aging and Whitening. The innovation abides by its promise: Clinical studies verified a high effectiveness and envisage further interesting and groundbreaking innovations.
Since 2011, our products have been selling in Brazil. In Europe, particularly in Switzerland and Germany, our products are available in leading pharmacies and beauty salons as well as at the Web shop.
